Dear friends:

When our son was born with Down syndrome, we had good support.Unfortunately, none of us knew very much about Down syndrome. I wanted quality information and a chance to meet and share ideas with other parents. So, in 1995, the Down Syndrome Association for Families (DSAF) formed to address these needs.

The DSAF now hosts group meetings, parent coffees, larger family activities, and community events. I am very proud of our growth! This is our 6th Annual Buddy Walk! We also hosted a huge educational conference called "The Three Pillars of Inclusion" last April for parents and professionals. My hope is to continue expanding the DSAF, under the direction of our two boards, to someday become a state-wide organization.

Look over all the great resources, including our “Brand New Day” new parent packet and great photos! You may also now register online for this year’s 6th Annual Capital City Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 6, 2007.

Great things are in the works - so visit our site often!

Best Wishes
