MY ACCOUNT
Dr. Channell’s research focuses on the development of language, cognition, and social-emotional skills in individuals with Down syndrome or other neurodevelopmental disorders associated with intellectual disability (e.g., fragile X syndrome; autism spectrum disorder), particularly during middle childhood and adolescence. Her research is framed by how skills in these domains influence everyday communication in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.
This presentation is designed for parents, family members, caregivers, medical providers, and educators who care for and support individuals 18 years old and younger with Down syndrome and the potential dual diagnosis of autism.
