![]() Dear friends: When our son was born with Down syndrome, we had good support.Unfortunately, none of us knew very much about Down syndrome. I wanted quality information and a chance to meet and share ideas with other parents. So, in 1995, the Down Syndrome Association for Families (DSAF) formed to address these needs. The DSAF now hosts group meetings, parent coffees, larger family activities, and community events. I am very proud of our growth! This is our 7th Annual Buddy Walk! We also hosted an amazing educational conference with International author Patricia Oelwein last November called "Literacy Skill Development for Students with Special Learning Needs" for parents and professionals (see info at the link below). My hope is to continue expanding the DSAF, under the direction of our two boards, to someday become a state-wide organization. Please browse our website.
